In Pennsylvania, endorsement fees may apply. Endorsements create a greater liability for the title insurance underwriter, and therefore most endorsements require an additional charge to be collected in excess of the usual title insurance premium. The average fee for each endorsement is $100 but may vary depending on the type. For example Endorsement fees may apply for Planned Unit Developments, Variable Rate loans, etc.

In Florida, other endorsement fees, that include but are not limited to a condo endorsement, planned unit endorsement and variable rate endorsement at a cost of $25 per endorsement and the Florida Endorsement Form 9 (Restrictions, Easements, Minerals) at a cost of 10 % of the premium, may be incurred depending on lender requirements. The lender will determine what endorsements are required depending on what type of property is being purchased and/or any specific lender requirements.

In Illinois, additional endorsement fees may apply depending on the type of property and lender requirements. These include condominium endorsements and variable rate mortgage endorsements. The most common endorsements are the Alta 8.1 Environmental Protection Lien and Alta 9.1 Comprehensive (Restrictions, Easements, Minerals) endorsements. The average cost of these endorsements is $185.00.
